If you’re reading this, you probably eat lunch at your desk. It seems like a good idea, but that sad desk lunch is actually weighing you down, my friend. And now that we’re friends, I feel comfortable enough to tell you this: STOP. Stop it right now. Not only is it unhygienic, unproductive, and brain-frying, it’s also SAD.
And don’t even get me started on the perils of being in an open-plan office during lunch. You can’t escape those microwaved fish smells (and you may even be the culprit – in that case, consider our friendship over). But life doesn’t have to be this way, especially if you have the ENTERTAINER.
It’s time to get out of the office and chow at one of these restaurants in Johannesburg and Pretoria instead:
NEWS CAFE | Take your pick
Look at your plain cheese sandwich. Now back to this. Now back at the sandwich. Sadly, this isn’t your lunch. But if you stop packing a sad desk lunch and use your ENTERTAINER app, it could be. We have so many News Cafe outlets on the App, you’re bound to find one right near your office. So have a look.
THE BULL RUN | Sandton
You’ve probably been staring at those four bland office walls all day, haven’t you? Give your eyes a break by lunching at the newly-renovated – and absolutely gorgeous – The Bull Run. Not only will your eyes thank you, your taste buds will too.
KNEAD | Sandton
Face it, you knead this in your life. Plus, their filled croissants are way better than the small, stale one you bought at the garage on your way in to work (no judgement here – I’ve been there, but now I know better).
VOVO TELO | Loftus Park
On the subject of stale things, you might want to check your bread. I don’t even need to be there to know that it’s hard, crusty, and probably harbouring some kind of mould. Vovo Telo makes their bread, baguettes, and pastries fresh from scratch every day, so you miiight want to go there for a 2-for-1 lunch instead. And they’re new to the ENTERTAINER, so show them some love.
COL’CACCHIO | Northcliff, Dainfern, & Moreleta Park
There’s absolutely no way your greasy, probably-cold-by-now pizza delivery tastes as good as a fresh 2-for-1 Col’Cacchio creation. Trust me.
