Located in Umhlanga, Lucky Shaker is a must-visit to shake up your weekend and enjoy some quality socialising. They’re the cool kid on the block, serving their customers delicious cocktails that make the perfect sundowners.

THE PLACE:

The best part about Lucky Shaker is they’re an ENTERTAINER merchant, and you know what that means – a 2-for-1 deal. I used my offer for date-night pre-drinks and it’s personally one of the best offers on the app. We had one of the best experiences thanks to the incredible staff at Lucky Shaker who know how to crack a good joke and mix an even better drink.

THE DRINKS:

You’ve got to try their Gin House Highball – so think a pink drink filled with a refreshing dash of Tanqueray (okay maybe more than a dash), raspberry, cucumber and topped off with their own house soda. No jokes, it’s an adult soda and damn I like it like that! My handsome date ordered the Split Personality (hmmm not sure if he’s trying to tell me something about me or him). Made with Tanqueray gin, lemongrass, vermouth, cucumber and hibiscus soda, it was clear he won the best drink order of the night.

THE FOOD:

What’s a Durban drinks spot without bar snacks? Since we were only stopping for pre-drinks we thought a little snack would suffice. Although the bar snacks are not an option on the app, their main meals are, and wow do they come recommended. But remember, you can only redeem one offer for every two people, so choose either food or drinks if you’re going on a date night ?
