Johannesburg School Holidays To-Do List

Johannesburg school holidays are officially here, moms and dads (and aunts and uncles, guardians, grandparents… you get the picture). That means seemingly endless hours of little busy bodies moving from one activity to the next. And because you want to be the ‘cool’ one, you obviously want to plan something equally as awesome, right? Well, we’ve got you covered.

Keep the little ones busy during the Johannesburg school holidays with this list of super fun, and affordable activities:

For the hyperactive |

It’s no secret that kids have a lot of energy, so luckily the ENTERTAINER is jam-packed with loads of fun activities. They can choose to jump away at Bounce‘s massive indoor trampoline park, speed (safely) around the track at Xtreme Indoor Karting, swing from the trees at Acrobranch, or skate around the rink at the Ice Rink. Oh, and did I mention all the arcade games and bowling at the Fun Company? Yep, they’re all 2-for-1, and guaranteed to tire them out by the end of the day.

For the animal lover |

The love of fuzzballs usually begins at a very young age. If your little ones love animals, then spend the day learning about Earth’s wonderful creatures at The Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre, Bush Babies Monkey Sanctuary, and the Johannesburg Zoo. Or, if you’re in the mood for a mini-Pilanesberg experience without spending hours in the car, pay a visit to Rietvlei Nature Reserve in Pretoria. They have everything from zebras to rhinos, plus you can stop by the Rietvlei Coffee Shop for lunch.

For the hungry |

Yes, I did just mention food. Because there’s no way you can go through the Johannesburg school holidays without someone becoming hangry. So, let’s start with delicious breakfast at Whisk. Your child will have the freedom to run around and climb the jungle gym, while you sip on your morning cuppa. On the other hand, Pick a Pancake is a good sweet alternative if you find yourself in Harties. They even have a Kit Kat and chocolate ice cream filled pancake – how delish does that sound?!

Do you want to know what the best part is? Everything that I’ve mentioned above is buy one get one FREE if you use the ENTERTAINER, so you can save some moolah while spending quality time with your family!

P.s. You also have to treat yourself every now and then, so check this out, and this, to see how you can WIN BIG.
