Those of you who know me and follow me, know how much of a foodie I am. From exploring with the guys from Instaeats, to being a foodie-tourist in my own city. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, supper and now also, Cape Town hotel dining. Let’s chat.
So, to those of you who live in Cape Town and make a point of exploring your city like a tourist (like me), you need to know about the following HIDDEN GEM. I discovered them on The ENTERTAINER app. Their meals, made from locally-sourced produce, coupled with the smell of the ocean in the air, a comfortable and classic setting and Instagram-worthy surroundings… I’m hooked.
They offer a delectable dining experience where you can indulge in a variety of their Executive Chefs’ specialities. They have everything from a full English breakfast buffet, light meals at lunchtime, to an A La Carte Menu at night. Remember I mentioned that they’re Instagram-worthy? This is why: there’s a sky deck where guests can enjoy a drink while enjoying the sunset over the Instagram-famous Sea Point Promenade.
The menu ticks every box for anyone’s taste bud needs. And with the warm and cozy, yet vibey atmosphere, it’s the perfect family friendly place. I’ve tried everything from the Deep Fried Crumbed Camembert, Panko Rissoles, Masala Beef Burger, Prawn Pasta, Beef Fillet with veggies, Pork Ribs and Peri-Peri chicken livers. Not bad for a Cape Town hotel dining experience, right?
This girl did NOT come to play. This girl left with a full belly, a happy heart, and she rolled to her car.
Pro-tip: For every first and last Sunday of the month between May and September, they have a hearty and mouth-watering Sunday Buffet lunch for only R195 per person. #Winning
And another pro-tip: For the gram – get there as the sun sets.
One more for luck: They’re on The ENTERTAINER app, which means they have 2-for-1 Main Course AND drinks offers, as we speak. Thank me later 😉
